Where are they now, Part II

March 21, 2012

OK, haven’t done this for a while but a little bird asked me to do this, so here it is. This is the current situation with all Alphans out there. For a few members who are actively appearing in an ongoing series, or have been popping up in the past year or so, names are noted in bold text. Green means they are alive and kicking, yellow means they are alive, but we haven’t seen them for a long time, blue means they are alive but depowered and gray means they are dead. The rest is self-explanatory.

alphaflight.net is back!!!

March 15, 2012

Well, this is definitely the best Ides of March ever! Much thanks to Ben at alphaflight.net for getting things fixed up!

Second printing variant added to Uncanny X-Force #11

March 1, 2012

It’s always nice when an Alphan appears on the cover of a comic book, especially when they didn’t appear on the regular cover, then pop up later on a second printing variant cover. Wild Child’s arm, shoulder and leg appear on the second printing variant for Uncanny X-Force #11 so go check it out!

Necrosha Page added

February 24, 2012

Alpha Flight members didn’t play a big role in the Necrosha crossover, but it sure was a doozy. A new page can be found indexing the crossover by clicking on the logo above or on the sidebar link to the right. Hopefully I can add in a few more of these pages so as to organize the mass of individual issues a bit.

No, really, we mean it this time…

December 27, 2011

Today I bring word of an update on the status of alphaflight.net, which has been knocked out by hackers for an extended time. The official word is :

Should be back online soon.

So, this is great news! Alpha Flight Collector will be back soon too, with some posts featuring Alpha Flight appearances from the 2nd half of 2011.

alphaflight.net almost ready to return

November 8, 2011

The amazing alphaflight.net site has been hacked out of existence, but is almost ready to return.  For over a week now, visitors have been seeing malware warnings but tonight there’s word that the malicious content has been purged.  A full update of the software to prevent it from happening again is in process, but the site won’t be up until a full backup of all files and databases is complete.

EDIT 11/17/11: For those of you who aren’t already following the official twitter feed, @AlphaFlight_net says :

Thanks for your patience while we fix and upgrade the site. We’re trying our hardest to make sure we’re back better than before soon.

In the meantime to discuss all things #AlphaFlight why not visit @daleeaglesham‘s AF messageboard at http://www.daleeaglesham.com/Denizens/index.php?board=4.0

Issue 6 is in stores next week, so previews should be available soon. I’ll try and retweet some links as soon as they’re available.

When we return, we’ll have a brand new interview from Si Spurrier discussing his new X-Club mini featuring Madison Jeffries.

alphaflight.net interview with Dale Eaglesham!

June 1, 2011

Alpha Flight fan Phil snagged an interview with new Alpha Flight series artist Dale Eaglesham! He’s the guy on the left in the above image. Head on over to the amazing alphaflight.net to read it! Congratulations to Phil on the interview, and as a bonus, you get some new exclusive preview artwork never seen before!

Age of X second printing variants added

May 24, 2011

Sales of the Age of X must have been better than expected – the Alpha issue and the first four chapters have gone back for a second printing! Likely chapters 5 and 6 will be reprinted but no mention has been made so far.  Click on the links to see the covers, which have been added to the posts below. I put them at the very end of the posts but you’ll enjoy re-reading all three to get to the bottom!

Alpha Flight Collector is Cool again!

May 4, 2011

Once again, Rich Johnston over at Bleeding Cool mentioned Alpha Flight Collector, featuring the Northstar images from a few days ago. Thanks so much for the mention and I’m very happy to be on the same front page as a link to pics from the Supergirl XXX parody movie! Can’t get any better than that, folks.

Alpha Flight Collector mentioned on Robot 6!

May 3, 2011

Yesterday’s post was picked up by the enormous Robot 6, a daily news blog focused on comics in particular and pop culture over at the even more enormouser Comic Book Resources site! Much thanks to Michael May (again!) for the mention and for his continued support. It seems Greg Land’s tracing is the gift that keeps giving…
