Second printing variant added to Uncanny X-Force #11

March 1, 2012

It’s always nice when an Alphan appears on the cover of a comic book, especially when they didn’t appear on the regular cover, then pop up later on a second printing variant cover. Wild Child’s arm, shoulder and leg appear on the second printing variant for Uncanny X-Force #11 so go check it out!

Necrosha Page added

February 24, 2012

Alpha Flight members didn’t play a big role in the Necrosha crossover, but it sure was a doozy. A new page can be found indexing the crossover by clicking on the logo above or on the sidebar link to the right. Hopefully I can add in a few more of these pages so as to organize the mass of individual issues a bit.

No, really, we mean it this time…

December 27, 2011

Today I bring word of an update on the status of alphaflight.net, which has been knocked out by hackers for an extended time. The official word is :

Should be back online soon.

So, this is great news! Alpha Flight Collector will be back soon too, with some posts featuring Alpha Flight appearances from the 2nd half of 2011.

Age of X second printing variants added

May 24, 2011

Sales of the Age of X must have been better than expected – the Alpha issue and the first four chapters have gone back for a second printing! Likely chapters 5 and 6 will be reprinted but no mention has been made so far. ¬†Click on the links to see the covers, which have been added to the posts below. I put them at the very end of the posts but you’ll enjoy re-reading all three to get to the bottom!

Alpha Flight Collector is Cool again!

May 4, 2011

Once again, Rich Johnston over at Bleeding Cool mentioned Alpha Flight Collector, featuring the Northstar images from a few days ago. Thanks so much for the mention and I’m very happy to be on the same front page as a link to pics from the Supergirl XXX parody movie! Can’t get any better than that, folks.

Alpha Flight Collector mentioned on Robot 6!

May 3, 2011

Yesterday’s post was picked up by the enormous Robot 6, a daily news blog focused on comics in particular and pop culture over at the even more enormouser Comic Book Resources site! Much thanks to Michael May (again!) for the mention and for his continued support. It seems Greg Land’s tracing is the gift that keeps giving…

Second printing added to Incredible Hulk #606

February 24, 2011

In addition to the variant cover, a second printing variant of Incredible Hulk #606 with interior art by penciler Paul Pelletier was released a bit later. Though this came out about a year ago, it went unmentioned until tonight. Click on the link to see it!

Alpha Flight Collector has been Cracked!

February 4, 2011

I’ve been a fan of the Cracked.com website for years, so this is a particular treat. A previous post about the Easter Egg I found in New Mutants #17 has been linked in an article, “6 Comic Book Easter Eggs That Stuck It to The Man” which was originally titled, “6 Most Amazing Screw Yous in Comics.” Basically the author took my post, re-wrote it in a funnier way than I could ever write it, stole my images, gave me no credit except for a tiny watermark she was too lazy to photoshop out of one of the images she stole and called me a nerd. What a jerk!

Second printing cover image added to Wolverine #2

November 26, 2010

So that would make it the second printing and also the fourth cover of the second issue of the fourth Wolverine series. Got that? Need to read it a second time? A fourth time? Well, it’s been added to the post for the issue, so go look at it!

Alpha Flight Collector is Legendary!

October 29, 2010

As a long-time reader and great admirer of Brian Cronin’s amazing Comic Book Legends Revealed! blog over at CBR, I’m humbled and honored to be mentioned in the 284th installment. Much, much thanks to Brian for mentioning Alpha Flight Collector on his very widely read comic book blog!
