Northstar’s holding something long and hard in New Mutants #15

Though the Heroic Age storyline started back in May of 2010, this issue (released 7/21/10) is the first of the New Mutants title to carry the Heroic Age banner across the top, since the Second Coming storyline had been monopolizing the X-titles for a while. It fits chronologically immediately after the events of Second Coming, and specifically after the events of the Hellbound miniseries. Northstar appears in one panel as a regular member of the X-Men, having joined up in Uncanny X-Men #508.

Following the devastating attacks of the war in Second Coming, the X-Men are forced to rebuild Utopia Island yet again. A page showing yet another reconstruction effort includes a panel with Northstar carrying what appears to be a section of pipe. Note that he is drawn rather tiny and shown wearing the belted version of his costume without the usual starburst on his right hip. All the busy little bees cleaning up the place are completely unnecessary of course, since Mister Jeffries could repair/rebuild the entire facility with his mutant powers.
